Stereotypes aren’t all bad. In fact, the best stereotype is The New Stereotype. This sartorial group of dapper gentlemen is committed to celebrating and highlighting America’s many diverse layers of black life through their fashion. We filmed them on Lenox Ave in B&W and in color to show how the imagery of a Harlem Dapper Dandy rings true today, as much as it did in the 1920s.
Map Your Way to the Most Stylish in Harlem. We photographed twenty-five of the most stylish people working and living in Harlem. Showcasing old school to new school, edgy to conservative, Harlem natives to newcomers, these images reflect the diversity of Harlem.
